New Patients What To Expect Thank you for choosing to see Dr. Marianne Trevorrow at WestShore Wellness. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early for your first visit to complete initial intake forms. Alternatively, you may download the following initial intake forms and fill them out prior to your appointment. Adult Full Intake Form (PDF) New patient consultations generally take 50 minutes. Prior to this visit, you will be asked to fill out a health and history questionnaire which Dr. Marianne will review during the visit. If you have any relevant labs from your GP or specialist, or are taking any medications or supplements, please bring them with you. Our front office can assist you in obtaining lab records from your GP, so please do not hesitate to ask prior to your visit. Physical exams and lab testing are also discussed during the first visit. We can order specialized labs from both Canada and the US than can detect the factors underlying many ongoing health problems. For autism and ADHD cases we recommend an initial 50 minute intake with the parent(s) by themselves and a subsequent 20 minute physical exam with the child and a parent. This can be the same day or within a few days. We have found the initial parent appointment and subsequent appointment with the child and parent avoids the need having to discuss sensitive information in front of your child and allows a better focus on their needs. A first follow up visit is scheduled after 2 weeks to help answer any questions that come up as the program is started, discuss the results of testing, and provide coaching and support for diet, supplement or exercise programs. Subsequent visits will be scheduled in 2-4 week increments to discuss more comprehensive testing, allowing for adjustments to your health program as necessary. These appointments are based on the complexity level of your or your child's health concerns. Dr. Marianne also has acute care appointments available for cold and flu infections and other urgent complaints. She also is happy to schedule routine PAP and breast exams for her female patients. Health Insurance Plan Coverage Patients on MSP premium assistance are eligible for partial coverage of visit fees. Ask the office manager for details. Most extended or private health insurance plans cover naturopathic services. For details, please contact your insurance carrier. Payment Payment is due at time of the visit, when lab tests are ordered, and on receipt of prescriptions. We accept payment by cash, cheque, debit, Visa and MasterCard. | |
